We live at the Pelican Lake Guesthouse & Environmental Project Centre Srebarna, adjacent to the Biosphere Reserve in North East Bulgaria. We provide regular updates on our project work and reports on activity on the reserve. We co-operate closely with a number of other conservation organisations to ensure a sustainable future for wildlife and the environment. Opening of Fishing Museum....

Yesterday we were very honourned to be invited by the Mayor of Vetren and the team at 'World for All' to the opening of the Fishing Museum in the neighbouring village of Vetren.

Vladi the new boy


A tiny stray street dog found its way into our garden a couple of weeks ago and as our dog Peggy didn't seem to object to him we decided to feed him and he's now become one of the family. We named him Vladi in honour of the agent we bought our house through 3 years ago, by the way we celebrated 2 years in Bulgaria on Sept 29th.
