Today we had the pleasure of an afternoon walk with Koichiro Fukui, the Japanese Ambassador to Bulgaria.
It was his first visit to Srebarna and the Reserve. He came both to see the Lake and also to visit our Japanese (J.I.C.A.) volunteer Toshi Izawa, who is working in cooperation with Kolyo Mihof of the Bulgarian Acadamy of Sciences.
He was very fortunate in that some young Pelicans remained on the Lake for him to get a good view.
He met first with Georgi Boev the mayor of Srebarna and his staff then we spent 3 hours walking on the eco-trails. Mr Fukui has a real love of nature and really enjoyed his time here.
